Company History
Since 1931, The Iron Shop has enjoyed a local reputation for outstanding design and fabrication of custom-built spiral, curved, and floating stairs. With the introduction of our Spiral Stair Kit in 1972, The Iron Shop’s quality and value became available for the first time on a national basis. Demand for the popular kits over the years has made us The Leading Manufacturer of Spiral Stair Kits™.
The kits are simple to assemble and easily customized to meet your needs — in Metal, Oak, and Cast Aluminum Victorian designs. Thanks to our state-of-the-art manufacturing process, each kit meets exacting standards for guaranteed quality. Once assembled, our spirals become the focal point of any room.
In addition to our main plant and showroom outside of Philadelphia, there are five regional showrooms and warehouses across the USA. Each is filled with fully assembled stair kits and staffed with our professional and knowledgeable salespeople, who can provide design-build services free of charge.
We pride ourselves on the highest quality stairs at the lowest prices. As a matter of fact, we’ll match any competitor’s price or beat it. Just show us their best estimate. We are confident that we can deliver the stair you want at a price you can afford. At each of the following regional locations of The Iron Shop, fully assembled stairs are on display, metal kits are stocked for immediate pickup or shipment, and knowledgeable assistance is available for help with your order or to answer questions. We invite you to visit the location nearest you. All showroom/warehouse hours are Mon-Fri 8:00-11:30 am, 12:30-4:30 pm; Saturday 8:00-11:30 am.
