Troubleshooting

I have a
question about my stair layout.
-
Why can’t I use the corner mount bracket so my floor is the landing with the stairs
that utilize 30° treads?
Simply put, when using 30° treads you cannot generate enough headroom to pass under
your floor at the 9th tread down your stair. Remember, our metal landing supplied
with a kit is only 2 inches thick at its flange while a floor is at least 10 to
12 inches thick. With our spiral stairs that utilize
22-1/2°,
treads you would not pass under the floor above until the 12th tread down, which
by stepping down 12 times generates plenty of headroom.
- Can I alter
the rotation of the treads so I can enter or exit the stair wherever I would like?
No, the treads will always rotate their set amount. For this reason it is very important
that when you ordered, you discussed the layout of your stair and how it would fit
into your setting with your salesperson.
