This is the third generation for The Iron Shops website. The company has been on the World Wide Web since 1996. The site is even easier to navigate than it was before, said Michele Cohen, director of marketing for The Iron Shop. The all-new site showcases many new photos and features brief video clips of The Iron Shops installation videos featuring Ed Feldman and Joe LErario, The Furniture Guys; and a behind the scenes look at how spiral stairs are made. Our website mimics our catalog to some extent. Customers are able to see everything that is in our catalog on-line, and much more. It is really convenient, said Cohen.
The Iron Shops all-new web site features several different sections, including areas where customers can compare the companys stairs; request a free color catalog; order a stair on-line; view the companys price list and e-mail the main plant in Broomall. In addition, The Iron Shop is providing map draws and driving directions for its six showroom locations through MapQuest, a third party application.
The site also features an interactive stair layout program that allows customers to use a virtual spiral stair to layout a stair on-line, helping them better visualize their application, including how the stair will rotate and work for them.
