The
Iron Shop Expands Facility
BROOMALL, Pa.,
September 19, 2002 The Iron Shop is expanding its facility in
a four-phase expansion project. During the first phase of the project,
which is currently underway, 398 Reed Road will grow extensively. We
are adding office and computer space by constructing a second floor to
the already existing building, says Ron Cohen, vice president of
The Iron Shop. In addition, we will be leveling ground for a loading
and storage section right next to the building.
Phase two of the expansion
project includes the erection of two new buildings connecting 398 and
400 Reed Road. All of the company's production machinery will be moved
into the new space. The company will also be adding a state-of-the-art
laser cutting machine that measures 30-feet by 30-feet to that building
in early 2003.
Phase three of the
project will connect the rear of 400 Reed Road with the Oak Mill located
at 440 Marpit Drive, creating additional indoor storage.
Basic construction
is already underway and will take over a year to complete.
